Who doesn’t love a bit of quirky indie pop?
My latest find in this genre is Cassia.
Cassia are a three piece hailing from Macclesfield and their chirpy tunes seem to bring a sunny vibe to even the gloomiest of days. Being equated to the likes of Vampire Weekend and Bombay Bicycle Club, Cassia captures the spirit of groovy indie pop rock and blends it together with beachy, Caribbean vibes. Layer that with humble yet raw guitar riffs that sit easy in your ears and effortless vocals that convey the easiness of Cassia’s overall sound and you’ve got yourself a pretty exciting band.
I find listening to Cassia is really refreshing and you can’t help but chill out for a little bit dreaming of sunshine, and I’ve listened to them ‘100 times over’…(see what I did) ((cause that’s the name of one of their tracks))
Be sure to check them out and catch them on their run of gigs this year too!
Tracks to check out : ‘100 times over’ and ‘Moana’
