Blend raw energy, the syncopated grind of 8-bit guitar and deliciously gravely vocals and you’ve got British rock outfit The Baskervilles, serving up their own breed of hard hitting rock with new single ‘Blood In My Mouth’, dropping April 27th.
Hailing from Ipswich, Suffolk, the rock quartet have spent the past 2 years working in the studio with award winning producer Tom Donovan, drawing influences from the likes of The Amazons, Royal Blood and Biffy Clyro. ‘Blood In My Mouth’ treads the line between the raw energy and emotion of their most recent single ‘Kalashnikov’ and the more commercial pop inspired sounds found in their earlier work like ‘Death of a Pop Song’.
The Baskervilles state: “Blood in my Mouth is for anyone who’s lost the one they love and is forced to forever relive the mistakes they made, hearing echoes of all the things you shouldn’t of said, and tasting the one you lost wherever you go, like blood in your mouth”
Having played studio sessions for BBC Introducing, intimate shows for Sofar Sounds and ‘Nambucca’s Hot Picks 2018’ at London’s Nambucca, The Baskervilles have recently confirmed they will be touring in June 2018 and will be announcing UK wide dates very soon. In the meantime, you can catch The Baskervilles at The Hunter Club, Bury St Edmunds for the Bury Fringe Festival, May 5th.
